PTT Via Com Port debouncing

Hi

I am setting up 2 x PTT via com port to allow 2 footswitches to be connected at the same time for SO2R in SSB on a Flex 6600 - Yes I know you can change the focus in loggers from Radio 1 to Radio 2 but I don't want to have to manually do this every time. I just want to hit a footswitch, the radio goes in to TX on the correct slice and then talk.

This is all for local, not remote.

I have set-up 2 com ports in SmartCAT, have built the little interface with a 10k resistor in to the DB9 socket attached to an FTDI adapter.

When I press the footswitch the radio goes in to TX but there is a sudden contact bounce where it goes in to TX and RX several times very quickly then after about a second, the TX stays on - I believe this is called debouncing?

However, if I use FRStack and set-up the same using MOX via a COM port using the same equipment and don't get this issue, it just works as expected - press the footswitch and radio goes in to TX instantly and stays on.

What is missing is the ability to set this up for more one than one slice e.g. one for Slice A and one for Slice B - if we could do that then problem solved.

Is there anything that can be done to solved this please?
