LW-SDC skimmer installation question

Trying to install SDC v17.22 x64 on a Windows 11 machine. Program says that it cannot find some dll's (example msvcp140.dll). Program installed into c:\program files\lwsoft\sdcx64\.

I see the dll's in c:\users\****\appdata\local\microsoft\onedrive\.

My thinking is that onedrive is the wrong directory for SDC to find them.

Question is: where did SDC install on drives without onedrive for individual settings? Did it create an SDC directory in appdata\local\ ? Could someone look on your machine and see where the SDC personal settings reside?

Thanks for any help.

Went to a different machine with Windows 10. After new installation - c:\users\xxxx\LwSoft\
created holding subdirects contest\, profile\, and comspider.ini. Program SDC does show on display which is good. Now must sort out Windows 11 and onedrive issues on other machine.

The problem with the dll's is that I installed SDC on a new machine running Windows 11. The old machine runs Windows 10 and has lots of software loaded previously so that dll's were already there for other programs.

DLL's needed for the windows 11 machine were: vcruntime140.dll, vcruntime140_1.dll, and msvcp140.dll. These dll's happen to be used in microsoft visual studio (now free download from microsoft). Didn't want to download from some no-name website. A copy of each needed dll was placed in the LwSoft\SDCx64 folder so that SDC could find them. Registration to the Windows system folders did not work as these dll's are missing the internal info to use regsvr32. So that appears to be resolved was SDC now starts its program.

Another thing came up related to Windows 11. Windows 11, when first turned on, grabbed a name to form a user and gave that to a directory name. Machine had to have an "account" so it made one. Different than my username. You can change username easily, but not the assigned user directory name. SDC assumed that the directory name and username were the same, which they are not under windows 11. My solution was to edit file comspider.ini under [settings] to the correct user folder, without regard to username.

I do feel for the ham software developers. Just about the time bugs have been worked out, microsoft will change the rules of the game. I miss the right-click menu from windows 10 already.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
