FLDIGI SET UP FOR FLEX 6500 SDR V3.5.9

I would like to try out fldigi with my flex radio. Downloaded the program and tried to configure as suggested by several flex users which all were a little different. The soundcard tab to set up audio has been very problematic despite trying a new fldigi. xml file and multiple reboots and insuring that win11 allows fldigi to access the microphone. Actually I am in need of the best configuration in all tabs for this program but audio is the standout. I did review Mike's video but it did not help.

Thanks for any ideas,

FLDigi is really easy to setup. Here are screenshots of my sound and rig control screens. I am using W11 also.

Gary thanks for your input . I use the hamlib config as you had it but every time I try to select port audio I get the "port audio not available" error.

I thought I would be clever and downloaded Python and then was able to download the PyAudio file which is said to include Port Audio thinking that for some reason it was missing from the win11. Even after doing that successfully, still get the error.

So I still am looking for further help

I am using **** stock FLDigi. Now I am somewhat confused as the Hamlib is for rig control, and audio is completely seperate. I am also assuming you have DAX configured and enabled.

I found the cause of the error; the webcam prevented port audio and simply disconnecting the usb was the solution. Also not helpful to let the sound devices be accessed by windows and other apps which you would think would be correct for fldigi.

    Thanks to all

This may help you manage multiple audio devices without having to unplug stuff. (On the other hand, it may simply **** with your mind :-)

I have several mics, cameras etc installed on my Windows PC. To manage them all I have voicemeeter installed (see https://vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/index.htm for more). Voicemeeter is a general purpose audio mixer. Using the voicemeeter controls you can route any mix of input devices to multiple outputs and adjust the levels. See the picture (note: I have voicemeeter banana, which is the paid-for version. Simple voicemeeter is nagware)
