What does a blank screen with a small blue dot in upper corner indicate?

Have new Tuner Genius XL. Trying to set up new out of the box. When power is applied I get the expected splash screen for a couple of seconds. Then there is a click sound in the tuner (sounds like a relay click), then the screen goes blank except for a small round blue dot that pulses.

Rechecked cables (antenna, ground, LAN cable, power). Cycle d power off and on several time and get same result. Dot on screen must be some kind of error indicator, but cant find anything about it on line or in setup book.

Anyone see this behavior?

Thanks, Nick, KE5QY

Calibrates the touch screen. Touch the blue dot.

That did it. That really should be in the start up instructions. Also had an email from help desk first thing this morning.

The touch screen was enabled in one of the firmware upgrades so the calibration was not included in original manual.
