PGXL in Multi-Two setup

I have a multi-two setup. We do not run SO2R. One radio is a Flex6500 and the other is a Yaesu FT1000MP Mark V. When using a PGXL hooked to both radios is it possible to have the Flex transmitting on one band and the Yaesu simultaneously transmitting on another band? Or is the amp limited to allowing only one of the rigs transmitting at any one time?

Only one transmitting at a time.
When the A side of the PG XL is transmitting, the B side is bypassed straight through. You can receive on one while transmitting on the other.

Dave
how can you control the permissions to transmit between the two stations?

It is first one “gets the ball”. Plus you would need to use the TX Req line out of Flex to tell other radio when it is transmitting (if other radio supports it). Or use third party hardware to use Flex TX Req line to inhibit other radio and conversely have other radio inhibit the flex when other radio is transmitting.
Read about TX Req in the hardware reference manual
