serious trouble during actual contest

I can't access my 6'400 anymore. It tells me I have to buy a Version 3 licence. But I have a V3 licence from its beginning! For me the contest is over and I 'm angry about the whole situation with my 6400. It very often fails with red blinking and then I have to reset it again and again. No more lust to work with it. And my Maestro Version 1 also failed as my 6300. For both tools is no more service available. New software - new radio? What a slogan! I'm not a rich guy who can throw his money out of the pocket and buy new tools all day. I was sure I buy quality, but after a few years no more service. What a mess! What's with my early 6400 already the same problem? Or are those parts still on stock for the years coming? Sorry folks I'm angry about this actual situation. There is mostly time and human ressources for the war industry. Please come back to your roots and do this job just good. I mean as good as your support was and still is - this must be said to. Sorry about my bad English I'm a Swiss guy with only moderate English knowledge and sorry about my frustration. :s

Hi Manfred... sorry to hear about your difficulties, but that red blinking light is usually a sign that there is something significantly wrong inside the radio -- wrong enough that it pretty much REQUIRES opening a Help Desk ticket. Repeatedly resetting the radio to 'make it go away' was probably just hiding the underlying issue.

The staff @ Flex have always been very responsive and helpful when I've had troubles and got their Help Desk involved.

From the sounds of your symptoms (I'm no expert) it sounds like something within the radio's internal database has become corrupted. Again, a job for the Help Desk to determine. It could be as simple as a new SD card, but I'm just guessing.....

About the only thing external to the radio that can cause a red led is the power source or connectors. Try reseating the power connector on the radio or a different power supply. It could also be the fuse/fuse socket inside of the radio. But do not hesitate to open a help desk ticket if that does not solve the problem.

Hi Manfred, I would submit a help desk ticket right away.

Flex CAN fix many things on the 6300 radio's STILL and you just need to send it in and have them see if they still have parts, My very good friend just got his 6300 back from a complete failure and they was able to repair it at a reasonable cost.

As far as the 6400 goes If it's a M version you could pop the cover and exercise the Internal Ethernet cables between the Front face and the rest of the body, they are just short Ethernet Cables.

I had a 6600M that all it took was to exercise the cables so it may be worth a try.

It may be a bad SDcard so a help ticket will be required to get a replacement.
