Using SmartSDR with a Maestro
If you use a Flex Maestro do you still need to run SmartSDR on a PC for using WSJT-X or N1MM or any other software for digital modes.
I tried now on the 6400 to open only SmartSDR CAT and DAX, but then it doesn't work.
So i think even with a Maestro you need to run SmartSDR, but maybe there is an other solution.
And is this with a M model also to need the hole SmartSDR package.

If you are using a Maestro as your Graphical Interface Client, no need to also run Smart SDR on a PC for WSJT-X, or N1MM.
But....on the PC, you must run Flex DAX and Flex CAT. Configure DAX and CAT to bind to the Maestro Client. You should see the client list in a pull down, following connection to the desired Flex Radio.

Alan,
If using SSDR for Mac as the client instead of a Maestro, will DAX and CAT running on a PC with N1MM still bind to the Mac?
Thanks,
Randy

Yes. Mac SDR will show up in Windows DAX and CAT client pull-down selectors.
