connection problems with Windows

in SmartSDR for Windows
I can use my FlexRadio 6300 with the free Mac program xSDR6000 using Wi-Fi from a different room in my home, but not with my WinDoze 11 laptop running SmartSDR version 3.33. Since the system works on another PC hard-wired to internet and the Mac, I suspect the problem has to be my W11 laptop. I checked Windows Defender to make sure the FlexRadio software was permitted to **** the firewall. So I un-installed version 3.33 and I tried upgrading to latest version 3.59 (hopefully improved connectivity) however the install program errors off right after choosing install directory. Please advise,
