    Hi, @Marc Lalonde

Telus may have all kinds of issues :-) but I think they are a "relatively normal" ISP. The simple fact that you can post here tells me they're not blocking outgoing ports. Yes, they've historically blocked you from running your own (web- , ftp - , smtp- and other) servers.

But this is exactly what Smartlink was meant for! I think you will be happy, and have good support if you need that, from Flex.

Your Flex radio will contact the Flex SmartLink server. Your client SmartSDR will contact the Flex SmartLink server. After the "matchmaking" is done, then Telus should mark all the traffis as "RELATED" and pass it all.

In theory at least :-) Perhaps, if you're asking this question, leave the VPN idea alone, until later. Get SmartLink going and enjoy your radio.
