FLEX 6400 Intial setup

Hello I am new to FLEX and have me new Flex 6400 connected to my router/switch with the Ethernet cable. And have the Powerwerx 30 amp power supply connected to a Schneider electric UPS. I have to booted up the radio yet. Because I am searching online for a initial setup guide online (checklist) 1. Do I install the smart sdr software first or do I install the smart sdr after the radio is booted up ?

Thank you.

The order of loading SmartSDR is not important. It is important to load the same version of SmartSDR as exists in the radio.

Boot the radio before starting SmartSDR. When it shows a steady green light, you can start SmartSDR.

Yes, if it is new from Flex, you can load the latest version from the website.

Hello I just powered up my FLEX 6400 tonight for the first time. Now I will install the Smart SDR on my PC. but before I do that what is the proper order for shutdown ? Is this in the manual somewhere ?

I shut down SmartSDR and all programs connected to the radio. Then power off the radio using the front panel button. Once it has been off for a minute or two, I shut off my power supply.
