CAT port ghost
I hope someone can assist me regarding the removal of unused COM port.
I experienced a computer crash while SSDR was running. When I rebooted, CAT was corrupted. When this happens to me, CAT opens with COM 5 and a new port one number above what I have set up. In my case, I have COM ports 4 - 15 set up. After the crash CAT has only COM 5 and a COM 16 is created. When I follow the directions for removing COM 16 from CAT, then using the COM arbiter to remove all ports, and then replacing CAT file with a backup, COM 16 is no longer in my CAT file, but does not disappear from computer COM ports. With the CAT backup file reinstall COM 4 - 15, COM 16 continues to exist as a ghost. Is there a way to remove a single ghost COM port without having to remove all and recreate them.
Windows 10 OS
SSDR is latest 3.4.24

Hi Ronald
Thanks for the link. The upgrade COM port arbiter did the trick after following the Reset of virtual ports in the CAT module.
Thanks to everyone who replied with helpful suggestions.
