Why can't I REALLY select USB mode?
Hi. I'm using WindowsSDR to control a 6600M which is unlocked for MARS operation. When selecting a frequency in the upper 6MHZ band, the radio will NOT operate USB. The selector/flag says USB but when looking at the actual passband, it is operating LSB. I could select AM, CW, LSB and DIGU, but when selecting USB, the passband does not change even though the software indicates in two places it is USB. I have not had this issues in any other band. Thanks for any help. 73

I’m also MARS. I’ve experienced this only one time myself. Rare. But indeed strange. I would suggest both a PC and a radio reboot.

Thanks John. I guess I should have mentioned that. I DID do a total reboot of both with no change. I just tried a second total reboot and it worked fine !! I guess it was just a "glitch in the matrix" during the first tries. I guess we can disregard this question and maybe just have this as a heads up for others who might encounter this. REBOOT a couple times.
