Maestro vs SSDR Latency

I have noticed the Maestro connected to my local 6600 has different latency than SmartSDR on my computer.

All connections are ethernet, no WiFi. The radio, Maestro, and PC are all connected to the same ethernet switch. Firmware 3.3.39.

Computer SmartSDR Connections -

Local 6600 Latency = 1ms Max = 34ms

Remote 6300 via Smartlink Latency = 50ms Max = 60ms

Maestro Connections -

Local 6600 Latency = 55ms Max = 87ms (slower than PC to Remote)

Remote 6300 via Smartlink Latency = 17ms Max = 41ms (faster than PC to Remote)

Yes, I double-checked the Maestro remote latency to be sure I didn't switch the remote and local settings.

Can anyone explain why this happens?
