Icom 7610 CI-V Setup

I currently have a Flex 6600 and Icom 7610. Both are interfaced with the TGXL and PGXL. The Flex works fine...the Icom not so much. I have the Icom connected from the CI-V connection on the rear of the radio to the TGXL. I have noticed the TGXL shows CAT when connected...I would think this should be CI-V like the PGXL is displaying. Can someone verify this for me?

The TGXL CAT/CI-V is setup:

Baud Rate: 9600

8N1

This tab is the only one enabled...

CI-V 98h I tried the 6Ah to help with the relay chatter...but currently run the default value.

While I'm very satisfied with the way the TGXL and PGXL works with the Flex I would think the software for other radios would be further along...

I’ve tried my TGXL connected to icom 7610 CIV, address 98h, it works fine, however, when I switch the Cat control back to KENWOOD, the tgxl goes into a very weird non stop relay spasm. The only way to stop it is to **** power or physically pull the CIV cable from the rear connector. 73,Jeff NJ2US
