Microphone for a 1500 ?

I'm thinking of doing 20 Meter Phone, but I don't want a cheap
hand held, maybe a desk or boom mount.
From what I know, audio quality, is important. I did xmit into
a dummy load with about 100w about 5 years ago and it was
obvious (using station monitor) that the more punch or volume
your voice had, affected the output power. I'm not sure where
that mic is now ???
Maybe in the $100-ish until I get it dialed in, then spend more.
When I bought this SDR, it came a RJ-45 cable with a XLR
connector and what looks like a 35mm film canister with the
PTT button. I forgot I bought this.
Thanks

Take a look at the Behringer XM8500. Very good sounding mic for under $50. Check out the reviews on eHam. I've used one for years. For my headset mic I use a Koss SB40. Another inexpensive great sounding set.
