using flex 1500 as a receiver with a DX-60

I enjoy my flex 1500 very much but I would like a little more power at time an I have a Heathkit dx-60 that is a good transmitter and would like to have the great receive of the 1500 your help would be greatly appreciated Than you

It might be easier if you found an amplifier like the Hardrock 50. 3 to 4 watts out of the 1500 will drive the Hardrock 50 to 50 or 60 watts. Modifying the DX-60 would require a lot of work. Plus, you would need to retune the finals if you change frequency very much.

And finally, the DX-60 does not cover 60,30,17 or 12 meters. Personally, I think it would be cheaper to buy or build a solid state amplifier.
