Change Name of Station in DAX and CAT and Connecting via Smartlink

When I look at SDR CAT and DAX they both show the name of the station as an older PC that I took out of service. Is there a way to change the name to reflect the name of the current PC or does it matter? I am running ver 2.7.6. I noticed when I went to Settings in SDR and "Choose Radio / Smartlink Setup" it shows the radio is available and when I select Smartlink Setup and it shows SmartLink is configured, however when I try to initiate connection to smartlink from my iPad it eventually tells me "No response from Smartlink Server". On the iPad it shows SmartLink is there, Internet connected - yes, Status - available, and Smartlink - yes. The ipad is on the local network and the same with the Flex. If I set the ipad to connection type local I can access the radio. I wonder if this means I have to have an external ip address in order to work.

Smartlink is only used on remote (not the same lan) connections. For operating on the same lan, just connect.
