Genius connection to yaesu G-1000DXA
I need to know which wire or pins I have to connect in my Rotor genius using my Yaesu G-1000DXA rotor I tried to use 4 and 5 and it doesn't work any other idea or which one to use I think they are only 2 wire or am I missing some step?

Yes, I have already done it, but there is something that is still not being explained clearly in the instructions. I have followed it as they are sent to me and I cannot get the Rotor Genius to work. I have a feeling that there must be a voltage next to these 2 pins and That's what I'll try to find out today...

We do not sell the RG and have limited experience with them.
As 403A is the designer of the RG, you will need to continue to follow up with them.

Ok Mike It only mentions it in case someone in the community does not have the RG configured with the yaesu G-1000 rotor but I continue to check with 4O3A for more information , thank you for you input...

At one time I looked into the Rotor Genius, do not own one but my understanding is that it just supplies the DC voltage to the rotator. That being the case, you would need to look at the schematic of the 1000DXA to determine what pinouts are for the rotator motor. I do have several 1000DXA and on page 16 of the manual is a the connection diagram showing the motor is on pins 3 and 5 of the rotator. Hope that helps you.

Perfect if I think that the pins I was using were not the correct ones according to what they sent me as 4 and 5 today I will try those pins 3 and 5 and see how everything works, thanks for your help

Have you tested with the Yaesu control box to confirm the rotator functions normally first ? Maybe the rotator is at one it's limits, and if the rotor genius is sending voltage at the polarity the motor will not engage. Try reversing, 5 - 4 to 4 - 5.

Yes is working perfect I test many time yesterday and today with the Yaesu control ....yes I use both pins in different area too ...

Hello wp3a00,
Did you find a solution to get the Rotator Genius working with your Yeasu 1000SDX? I have the same rotator and considering replacing my older controller with with the RG. Can you share your results and solution and your experience with RG?

Hi All,
I reply on this one even if it is 3 years old.
I have just bought a Rotator Genius and can easily turn both rotator (one with small 12v dc motor for the Buddihex) and the Yaesu G1000 DXC by wiring the pin 4 and 5. Does anyone know how can I make use of the brake and also how to change the speed (increase the speed) of the Yaesu ? shall I apply more than 12v as I know it can range from 12v to 22v.
Thanks
