Changing Weather Conditions

I notice my wire antenna changes R and L when it rains. More so, if it rains hard. SWR, at a given frequency has been observed to change from 1.2 (no rain) to 2.2 (moderate rain).

Question. If the TX-XL is programed for a tune solution, what will be its response to the changing wire antenna R and L? Will it find a new solution without being asked, or not? Will it replace the previous programmed solution in memory?

Deposit if May, hoping for a delivery soon.

No it doesn’t retune unless you ask it to

You will get a high SWR alert.

By chance is it a wire antenna using bare wire going through trees? I went with insulated copper clad steel wire. Haven’t had the problem since with SWR changing drastically it will change a little bit not to need retuning
