silent key radio

Bought a 6400 from a silent key estate and good friend WA2TTI, with 2.6 software . I would like to upgrade to current software from 2.6 on rig to currrent software and have my call and name on rig before spending for the upgrade.

You can change the callsign and name from within SmartSDR.

You can purchase the upgrade license from Flex.

    SmartSDR Version 3 (flexradio.com)

Read the instructions. You will need to enter the radio's ID (available from within settings in SmartSDR.

    Hi Paul,

Latest update to version 2 is V2.7.6. It will be free since that radio already has a version 2 license. Go through the complete update instructions for that version. Get your feet wet with it. It can operate remotely but just with one operating position. The big feature that Version 3 adds is the capability of 2 operating positions. If that is not important to you, you may want to save your money as Flex keeps version 2 updated with bug fixes etc. Many of us keep a radio with just version 2 on it.

    73,

    Bill

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
