6600M hijacks MIC profile created with SSDR?

Station configuration: LAN cable from 6600M to router. Desktop cable to router.

  1. Turn 6600M on via remote switch
  2. Open SSDR on the desktop computer. SSDR indicates no radio available, and shortly SSDR opens with the correct MIC profile (Desktop SSB/PC) The desktop microphone is a USB microphone.
  3. After a short time, the 6600M front panel completes bootup and changes the MIC profile to Desktop SSB/MIC
  4. Using SSDR the microphone cannot be changed from Mic to PC.
  5. The only solution found it to import the stored profiles using SSDR.

The MIC profile was created on the desktop PC after the 6600M had a hard reset with no stored profiles.

OK....what am I missing?

Thanks

This has everything to do with the profile that's loaded. You may want to recreate the profile you need. The one that's being loaded doesn't allow for the use of the PC mic. I've had this happen and using a new or different profile cured the problem.

Look at what's loaded in the "Global" profile. I bet something there is preventing the PC mic from working.

I'm stumped on this but still experimenting. I've had trouble with this since the advent of multiFLEX. The problem never comes up if the 6600M boots up and stops at the "RUN/Operate" screen. I can do my normal remote operation with no problems.

I assume it has to do with the 6600M not having a USB microphone capability. The situation would be overcome for me, if I could have the 6600M perform a remote on and stopping at the "Run/Operate/Etc: screen. I can't envision ever using multiFLIX.
