Field Day Connectivity all Flex 6400M and N3FJP

Our Flex community locally has grown to about 10 that own them and love them. We help each other and promote the product. So much so we all decided to do a all Flex Field Day operating as N9WH ARC 3A.

Seems we have had a hard time searching the community for others that have done the connectivity already for Field Day.

We will be using The popular N3FJP program which we have connected all stations in the past via there connectivity as a network so we can share contact info, contacts logged and band data. We were using at that time the other big 3 manufacturer's radios with cat cables to radios and pc's linked together.

Our plan is to run Phone, Cw and Digital FT8 as dedicated stations. Very hard to test before field day as we dont have 3 Flex radios that we can test with before field day. We will be running all 3 stations on 6400m radios.

Since we are hooking up the radios to a computer via Ethernet cable direct connection using the Flex API we now realize we need a hub at each station . the hub will have 3 connections. One to radio, one to computer one to the network computer stationed central to all 3 stations.

We have been testing FT8 just from radio to computer stand alone simulationg Field Day. We are trying to log contacts via JTalert to N3FjP with no sucess. It logs to JTalert log but doesnt log into N3FJP. We understand this isnt a Flex issue because 3rd party programs are not Flexes problem. We have the settings we believe correct per N3FJP and Lauries JTalert contest instructions. No love here at all. Were wondering if when we network the stations as clients the connectivity there will solve the problem ?

Were hoping that other all Flex Field Day folks could help us speed up our process on how they did it. We are so proud of our Flex radios we are advertising this for our Field Day so other non Flex users get a opportunity to see them in real use!

I know Mike has done great videos on all the Flex products and Tim has helped with everthing under the sun. Would be great if we could see a video and/or connectivity scheme for all Flex Field Day connectivity.

N3FJP and 6400M radios is what we will use.

I am the president of our N9WH club but by no means a internet or pc specialist. We have many in our Field Day club that are so i am hoping they will chime in here as well. Look us up on QRZ and stop by if you would like to visit and operate at our all Flex Field day site. Located in Northern Illinois /Wisconsin border.

Hope to get some ideas from the community.
