Intermittent Transmit On CW

All: My Flex 6600M intermittently stops transmitting CW. It doesn't happen very often at all, but I was wondering what the cause might be. It happens when using a Winkey or with the paddles connected directly to the rig. I noticed that it also happens when using SmartSDR so I was wondering if it's a program priority issue with Windows 10 / 64?.

Thanks, Tony

    Tony,

"Wecome tho the Club" :( This has been an issue ever since SSDR 2.5.1, and has been reported to Flex years ago! This is defect G7759, and it seems to affect all newer versions. The solution as suggested by Flex support is is to downgrade to v 2.4.10. There are numerous threads about this issue.

I am running 2.4.10 (after giving up on 2.6.2) and have zero drop-outs, but do miss some of the new fancy features that are available in the newer versions. I had a report that using latest v 3.1.12 and use multiFlex, i.e. have panafall on PC and control your radio though Maestro do work with-out drop outs. I have yet to confirm this as I am hesitant to shell out $$$ for s/w that may not work for me.

Let's hope they can fix this once and for all with the upcoming release as we CW ops feels a bit neglected.

    /Lasse

An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu.
