Optimizing TX

Before receiving my Flex, I remember viewing one of the several YouTube videos on setting your transmit audio. One of them included the statement that doing this one tweak would improve your audio 3 db. I've created my SmartSDR transmit Rag and DX profiles - adjusting EQ, etc., but I don't recall what that certain tweak was. Sound familiar?

I think that the 3 dB is from the Flex running CESSB (Controlled Envelope Single SideBand). This effectively (not literally...) doubles your power. I use the processor on either NOR or DX most of the time. When conditions are tough or I am trying to break a pileup, I move it to DX+. That may be the tweak that you are thinking of.
