Red flashing lights 6

My flex 6600 will not power down or up due to 6 red flashing lights.

Any help?

Hi Lee, From the FLEX-6400/FLEX-6600 Hardware Reference Manual page 18:

Error Conditions Certain hardware and software error conditions cause the radio to stop operating and display an error code by flashing the Power button light as follows:

    • One red flash: Fan malfunction

    • Two red flashes: Software crash

    • Three red flashes: Boot failure

    • Four red flashes: Input power over voltage

    • Five red flashes: CPU overcurrent

    • Six red flashes: Input power under voltage

It looks like an under voltage situation. You might try powering off your power supply and unplugging and re-plugging the Anderson Power Pole connectors at the back of the radio to see if dirty contacts are the culprit. If not, check the voltage of the power supply to see if that is the issue. If possible, try a different supply.

Thank you Len. Cleaned the power cable and all power connectors turned on the Flex 6600 and she fired

up. The radio is working fine now. Thanks for your help. Lee
