SmartSDR CAT COM Port Creation

Colleagues,

I am trying to use Fldigi after a couple of years of non-use. I have used SmartSDR CAT to create a serial COM port (COM 13) and a PTT COM port (COM 14). I am unable to use either of these ports with FLdigi RigCAT to cause PTT to be functional in my 6700. I am using the XML file created by Tim in RigCAT.

When I examine the two newly created COM ports in Windows 10 Device Manager, I see under Events, I see the message "Device Install Requested". Under Resources, I see "Device isn't using any resources because it has a problem".

In SmartSDR CAT, I do not see the Fldigi process associated with either COM port as I switch between the two.

I was able to use Fldigi with the Flex-6700 in the past, but something has either changed or I am forgetting something essential. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I forgot to mention that I am using version 2.6.2 of SmartSDR.

Hello. I have exactly the same problem following an update to Windows 10 20H4. I see the same error message in Device Driver. I cannot longer use N1MM. In my case this behavior occurred after I upgraded to Win 10 20H4. Dax drivers and TCP/IP control is fine, it is just the virtual serial port that are not longer working. I am using version 3.1.12 of Smart SDR.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.
