Flex 1500 and PowerSDR digital mode

I am fairly new to to the 1500 and I am trying to get the digital modes set up correctly. The manual says to enable VCA in the software. I enabled VCA1 and can see and hear everything and WSJT-X decodes the signals fine. However, the signals come through my speaker and is quite annoying. Everything I do to quiet the speaker loses the signals.

Is there any way to mute the speakers without interfering with the digital mode operations?

    I found that I needed a VAC driver. I downloaded it and it works fine now.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
