6600M - Three red flashes of software death

Well, it happened to me too :-(

Occasionally over the last few months the radio would reboot itself. No biggy, it's software, right? Well, this time the radio came up with three lovely red flashes of the power switch. Cold boot - no change. Factory reset - no change. Powered off before each reboot of course.

Trouble ticket submitted - hope the holiday period doesn't hold things up too much. Guess it's time for a new SD card - it did run for a long time on the older v2.4, so may well have had incipient corruption.

Good thing I still have a nice functional K3 with a P3. I'll miss the 6600M screen, WNB on 80m, and using xDax / xCat on my Mac away from the shack - it's back to Linux in the shack for now (no hardship :-)

    You might try this.
Unplug the Red/Black power connector from your radio for 5 minutes.
Next Plug it back in and wait 5 minutes.
This time when you power the radio on, hold the power switch until it begins flashing white.
Release the power button and wait about another 3-5 minutes, until you get a sign in screen that says choose operating system or just operate.
If that does not solve the problem then most likely you will need a new SD card.
    Good luck!

Did all that - new SD card on the way.
