Session time out Error

I just bought a Maestro A 2nd hand and when I boot it up it goes through all the right procedures but at the very end it says session timed out. click on the button and repeats its self.
Works fine if not trying to remote it.
I have seen several people with same issue but no response. But they were posted awhile back but no answers. thought Id try to see if anything has come of it.

There is another thread on this subject and it has been locked without resolution. shame...my remote 6600 and power genius just became pretty expensive paper weights.
