gaming headset adapter
Hi all,
I work for a gaming headset company so I'm trying not to have to buy a new headset. The headset has a standard Tip/Ring/Ring/Sleeve. The "standard" gaming headset adapter (Tip/ring/ring/sleeve to separate 1/8 trs for speakers/mic) seems to ground the Tip/Ring of the MIc plug which doesn't seem to be good with my 6600. :).
Anyone know of a "standard" adapter I can buy? Or should I just go find some cables with wires that are not 1mm thick and build my own :)

Same info would be nice for me :) there are some articles here that describe building an adapter, which I did.

Hi Josh... i have a 6500, which is a bit different config of the mic/phones jack, but what i did is build a small adapter box which plugs into the 8 (?) Pin mic connector on the front of the flex, and has jacks in it for mic and phones plugs from the y-adapter cable (like you've got). It also has a similar jack to plug in a ptt switch.
