No Output Any Mode 6600!

Flex 6600 v3.1.12

I cannot get 6600 to transmit in any mode, hitting TUNE button gets the TX light at bottom to go RED but nothing on RF Power meter on 6600 or on external watt meter. I am pretty experienced with the 6600 and computer literate, so frustrated with 6600/SDR/W10 reliability I ordered a K4 today. Had a K3 for 10yrs and replaced it with 6600. Will probably use K4 as backup if I can keep 6600 running but I am getting tired of the software/configuration problems b4 contests.

Several days ago I posted:  DAX only works on cw mode!

When set to other modes, get 424bps streaming in SliceA but no indication of output on DAX Streaming bar underneath. On W10 Sound Manager get no input to DAX AUDIO RX1

Reinstalled DAX drivers to no avail???

Any ideas

Turned off W10 PC and 6600 for the night rebooted and it worked for 2 hours! Then no transmit on any mode. Appears to be possible hardware problem and I have already been back to the factory twice!

Hi Roger, Have you checked that the RF Power control did not get set to zero? Also check in Settings, TX Band Settings that PTT Inhibit is not checked and that the RF PWR column is where it should be for the band in question. If you are using the mic to transmit (i.e. not a digital mode), you should be sure that in the P/CW tab of the radio panel, DAX is not highlighted and that MIC is selected. Also be sure that the mic cable did not come loose from the back of the radio. PTT will operate with no mic because it is on a separate jack, so this is something to check.

Checked all of Len's excellent comments.
