I'm fixin' to upgrade my 6400M with the current software. Still using my friends Mastro. it's v2.6.2. WIll I have to install new software to use the Maestro or can I fall back on v2.6.2?

Ed,
The major version is determined by the version authorized in the radio. If you are authorized to run version 3, you can run this version SW , along with all the previous lower major versions of SmartSDR.

Hi Ed, you will need to have the Maestro and radio at the same version to work. You can either upgrade his Maestro to V3, and then downgrade again when you give it back to him or you can downgrade your radio to match the Maestro and upgrade again after you give it back. If you want the Maestro and SmartSDR open at the same time, you will need to be on V3 (this is a really cool feature - SmartSDR functionality and large screen plus the Maestro knobs).
