6700 High SWR at the end of a transmission
Operating my 6700 I am seeing a high SWR of 1:1.6 and higher on tune and at the end of each SSB transmission.
I am using the 6700 into an OM Power amplifier, and then to a 4 element Steppir, and measuring /checking the SWR during transmission by an Array Solns Powermaster II. The odd thing is with the amplifier operating, the SWR comes down to about 1.06, which is what I would expect for the Steppir, BUT at the end of each transmission I can see the SWR shoots up to 1.6 or higher on the Powermaster II as the 6700 stops transmitting.
It happens on all bands, not just 20m.
I have just replaced the 6700 with one of my 6600,s and the SWR is constant at 1.06, , the SWR does not alter at the end of a transmission, so the problem is not the coax, the amp or the Steppir.
So what in the 6700 could be causing the problem, advice please.
Regards

Is it possible that you are reading the SWR to the input of the amp for the brief moment after the amp stops amplifying?
