Remote CW Operation Latency Issue Status

I recently placed an order for the 6400 and Maestro so that I can operate CW (and other modes) remotely using paddles. I see in the discussions that there is a defect (#7378) that seems to make remote CW problematic due to latency causing stuttering. Apparently, this problem did not exist in some versions of SmartSDR 2.x, but has never been fixed in 3.x, despite being reported more than a year ago. My inclination is to cancel my order, but wanted to check with the community to see if I am missing something on this issue.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
