Remote Access to 6600 over mobile data network in Australia (Telstra)

I am looking at getting a Flex 6600 to remote over the Telstra Mobile Phone data network in South Australia. I cannot get a fixed IP and I expected it will be double NAT'd. Does the Flex have the capacity to leverage off a DYN DNS server or similar to get to the outside world??

Regards

Chris

You don't need a fixed IP, a changing IP with DynDNS is OK as long as it is public IP.

AFAIK there is nothing in Flexradio working with DynDNS

But the real burden is that most mobile phone data network provide a private IP to end user.

I am trying (for work-from-home issues) to config something have public IP to work portable, trying Cargoyle router firmware with OpenVPN client.

  • Thanks, I moved to a commercial Telstra product (extranet) which removes double NATing and gave me a variable but accessible IP - works fine with about 12 MPS up and down.
  • The Flex is working fine for me now.
