Hardware wish list

1) New radio with HDMI output with a video CPU and enough video memory to drive a 55" 4K display.

2) The ability to take the screen and window the screen to allow the video output to be fed into the the radio to allow you to see external computer programs on in one window and the Flex in another window.

3) A Preselector or tuned circuitry outside of the ham bands to allow SWL without so many images and spurs. A tracking pre-selector like the HEROS preselector

4) A VU option to allow not only HF, but multi-mode VHF/UHF and a transverter for bands other than 2M and 70 cm, such as 1.25 meter or other bands.

5) The ability for the radio to operate on the new LF bands.

    5) The ability for the radio to operate on the new LF bands.

You can do this now using the XVTR port and an appropriate LF band amplifier. Building a PA that covers from low kHz to 54 MHz is a real engineering challenge.

Tim, I agree with you on #5. I guess that suggestion 1-4 is technically viable. Maybe they are not viable from a business perspective, but again a wish list.

Yes, 1-4 are more technically feasible.
