In what order are the discussion items listed?

What is the sort order for the discussion items? Is it newest first, or latest answer first? I went to page 100 expecting some older topics, but the topics there are dated 2019.

    It a super secret algorithm. 😎

    There are multiple factors that go into whether or not a post rises or sinks in the Discussion view. The number of comments, recent comments, and the number of positive reactions are just some of the factors.

    Please note that migrated posts do not have the same level of post meta data that new posts will have, so they are probably limited in the factors that make a Q&A or DIscussion stay at the top of the page.
