How do I safely use 2.4.9????

Okay, I had the SD card error after using my radio for 3-4 years. Tim got me up and running with a replacement SD card. I tried 2.6.1, but had the ATU problem. I removed 2.6.1 from my computer, and reinstalled 2.4.9, which works fine. Now I hear I may have an unstable system due to SD card problems with 2.4.9. Should I install 2.6.2 now, leaving 2.4.9 on my computer. Can I run 2.4.9 once I install 2.6.2, or do I have to use 2.6.2 with the ATU problem in order to avoid another SD card failure?

NOT if you you can wait for a short time until they put the fix's in the 2.4X version which will be soon as was stated in several places on the here. 
This is the very next thing to be fixed before they start work on the bug updates to version 2.6.2 or version 3.1.12 so just use 2.4.9 and watch for the release announcement on here.
Here they talked about there plans on a live stream to clear the mud.

It is too bad you can not use your radio without the ATU. V2.4.9 has not been fixed yet and has no SD card protection at this time. But it is coming very soon. I can not suggest you stay using it or not,,just letting you know what is happening and let you decide.
