Trouble with DPC's

Flex 5000a, K9 software. Everytime I start my program the DPC's have to be cleared. The count jumps to 60.000 plus at times. This also happened with the flex software I was running. I have to sit there and continually clear the dpc's or system stops. After a while it seems to slow down some. Annoying as heck. Don't remember having this problem with my old flex 3000. Any ideas as to my problem? Someone at Orlando said Flex sent him a new cable and it cured the problem.
