SmartSDR - Is transmit limited by frequency and mode?

I'm trying to set up SmartSDR 2.5.1 / 6400M for an oddball RTTY mode (for Clatternet on 40 m) - 850 Hz shift M/S reversed. I can't use the normal RTTY mode, since it is LSB and automatically sets the mark and space frequencies based on that. I really need to use USB, since the TU I'm using doesn't have M/S reversal on transmit. I normally operate RTTY using either DAX or PC input and use PTT to key the radio. However, if I try to use USB or DIGU to get the M/S reversed, the PTT will key the radio, but no audio is transmitted although DAX shows the audio, SmartSDR doesn't. But, if I use either the SmartSDR MOX button or use VOX with DIGU, the radio will key and the audio is transmitted, but not with USB. The real question is does SmartSDR or the 6400M limit transmission by frequency and mode? Or, do I have a problem somewhere? Using the FHM2 mic, I can transmit anywhere in any mode.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
