M series Radio boot options

As discussed over two years ago M series radios seems to have a mind of their own as to what state they boot to, the "Connect Screen" or to a panadapter. If I shut the radio down from the Connect screen it usually boots next time to a panadapter.

95% of the time I use PC Smart SDR and my Son connects via smartlink, so my preference would be to boot to the connect screen.

As this issue has been around since the m series was introduced is there a plan for a fix or is there a work around currently I am not aware of.
