6600M desktop cw

Using PC control for the 6600M, how do I use CW/SSB?  May seem obvious but doesn't work like the 6500 did.  Must be a switch somewhere or must I use CW/Phone through the PC?  ( I did post earlier but seems to be lost in cyberspace...or I'm lost in cyberspace).  Mahalo 73, AH6FC  Bill

the answer  is  'depends' on how you are setup

first issue is what versions ssdr are you running?
if version 2.x answer is simple...

the pc is control gui  and not the front panel
then you can connect your key and mic directly to the 6600m
    and
use then in same manner as if you are using the front panel

    HOWEVER
if version 3.x then it is more complex because you can be in multi-flex mode or not....

The 'or not'  ( aka not uin multi-flex mode) the answer is you have disconnect the front panel when you connect with the pc.
but key and mice can still be used directly connected to the radio as i said above.

    BUT

if the PC connect in multi-flex mode...it get complex....
cause now the pc is operating like a separate radio and is like using the radio remotely...and this remote pc radio needs the key and mic connection thru the pc
    and
you still have the front panel in control of the other part of the radio locally
    and
any key and mic connected to it will drive that portion of the radio
