My windows audio is turned up as well as the slice and the main SmartSDR Volume. Stipp the "PC" audio is sometimes too low.....

Does anyone know how to boost the audio more without installing another app?

Windows volume control is rather convoluted in my opinion, This is further aggravated by the multiple volume controls in SmartSDR. As far as I can tell there are five separate volume controls, the speaker control on the mixer panel (also know as the master volume), the volume on the SmartSDR icon on the mixer panel, and the two volume controls on the radio panel of smartSDR and the volume controls of the equalizer panel. . If you  have maxed out all four of these controls, I don't know what else you can do but enhance it with some other app.

First plug in a set of headphones in the radio and see if you can pop your eardrums with audio...  Then shake out windows. Erika DD

I checked my setup here at NK7B: Flex 6500 with all recent updates to SDR (was just returned from Flex after CPU fan repair); the computer is a newer Lenovo laptop running Windows 10. I tested my Heil Proset headset plugged into the headphone jack on the side of my laptop.

Click on the"PC AUDIO" box in the upper right corner of your SDR screen--it will become light blue; the volume in headset then will be controlled by the UPPER slider just to the right of the PC AUDIO blue box.  The lower slider with the headset icon does NOT affect audio level when listening via the computer's audio output.  It DOES control the audio output when you have your headset plugged directly into the Flex box itself.  But here is one skunk at the picnic: When I use my headset plugged into the computer I cannot hear my sidetone when transmitting CW. I have convinced myself that audio is actually clearer when my headset is plugged directly into the Flex box.

Another thought - do your speakers have their own volume control?  Have you considered that as well?

My speakers have no volume control on them (Laptop)

    Some modes are loud enough.

    Headphones work fine.....

Looking for a way to boost windows audio. "BOTH" Smart SDR sliders are maxed out Main+Slice

Good Morning All.  Mike's reference to the Microsoft master volume (above) is a good one.

Now my thought:  If the receive equalizer is on, look and see where the equalizer band sliders are set. I don't hear well so, no Flex radio has enough volume for me.  To compensate I turn on the RX equalization and advance the sliders.  You can shape the audio or just advance them all.  I think you'll find some extra volume is available there.

David, your max audio volume is at the mercy of the speaker amplification in your laptop.  Adding a set of powered external speakers to your Flex should solve your issue.

David If this is on your LAPTOP then You hit the nail on the head, and as KF4HR has commented some or most LAP TOP built in speakers are really low using the flex, find some USB / Bluetooth or if the laptop has a audio output jack wired AMPLIFIED speakers.
I have to do that with my ASUS tablet PC's (3 different models) even my Panasonic Toughbooks CF53 and CF54's are a bit to low but the AMPLIFIED Bluetooth speaker work really well on all of the tablet and Laptops.

Yea Sam has the right Idea.. Go to your RX eq and set to higher levels, this will increase your rx audio by 30 percent and perhaps  that is all you may need. Also.. Make sure your AGCT is not all the way up because it will also lower your volume on band noise. You will only hear big stations with it all the way up so make sure you adjust it. It should bring your RX audio up a bit.. Good luck. On Amazon, you can buy some usb powered  stereo speakers that will plug right in your usb port and plug the other plug in your headphone jack. The speakers have a volume control and you should be all set. I have seen them on Amazon for 11.99. there small enough to put one on each side of your laptop and with the amp inside the speakers that will be powered by your laptop.. Perfection...... Enjoy your Flex..

Volume is not only set by the main sliders on the top right, but also the volume sliders on each slice. Click the speaker icon on the slice and check there. I keep my slices up at 100% and adjust with the main control.

I have the exact same issue with both my desktop computers. Flex PC audio out is very low. And it has nothing to do with Windows, my speakers or anything else. Same speakers and system will BLAST out the windows sounds, iTunes, YouTube or any other source. The ONLY thing that is low is Flex. I have the sliders maxed.  When I am home, I use locally powered speakers physically attached to the Flex, and even those are on the low side. But they are powered, so I can crank them up to where its at least audible.  6300 here.
