Lost power in WSJTX

After upgrading to V2.6 everything was working fine at first, then since yesterday I'm experiencing loose of transmission in WSJTX, the radio gets the ptt but no signal is coming out (in all bands), I've checked, double checked and triple checked all settings and they were fine as should be. I've tried with "tune" and with psk reporter and I'm not sending out signals.
For the moment, I downgraded to version 2.5.
Any ideas?

You got off easy, some hams are getting the Blue Screen of Death.

Check your tx gain on the DAX panel to see if it has changed by accident.

    Thanks.
That was one of the things I looked at and it is fine. Also, the lost of power could happen during a qso, between one tx and the other, and between qso's.

I've experienced the same issue since upgrading to 2.6.0

I thought I was doing something wrong but everything was set correctly. After several attempts at transmitting  it started working again. This has happened 2 or 3 times.

Appears to be a few bugs in 2.6.0 (see my post re strange behavior after updating to v2.6.0)

Yes Santiago it sounds exactly the same as what happened to me yesterday.

Watching DAX as I attempted to TX showed no DAX TX at all. Next I opened up Windows sound devices by right clicking on the speaker icon in Windows at the bottom right of our screens. Watching the DAX TX device there showed all green bars when I was transmitting but nothing in the SSDR DAX TX window. I next tried other digital software and none of them worked including wsjt. So I shut down SSDR and started it again but that did not work. So I shut it down again along with the radio and when I restarted everything it still did NOT work. My fix was to reboot the PC which seems to have fixed the problem.

How did this issue happen? I noticed that I was getting a blip(for lack of a better word) in my transmitted digital signal. So I shut down DAX and restarted it. After I did that the problem you describe in which the radio is going into transmit but nothing is being transmitted happened.

I did not have this issue with 2.4.9 but ran into it within 24 hours of using 3.1.7. I could be wrong but I believe that the DAX drivers from 2.5 and up are all the same. I do wonder if a router reboot or a PC and radio disconnect from the router and reconnect would have solved the problem. I'll try that next time before I do a complete reboot.

    Thanks John.

Yes, was worked for me was shutting down Wsjtx and SSDR and starting both again, but that's not productive when you are in the middle of a QSO or during a band opening.

That's why I decided to downgrade to 2.5 for the moment and try again in a couple of days.

I'll follow this issue to see if something comes up.

Yes, exactly my situation. Only difference is I don't want to risk getting a ATNO by lack of transmission and decided to take a step back for a few days.

I actually did get an ATNO this morning C21WW Nauru on 30 FT8. I would have been really upset if my power dropped as there were many folks calling him from all over the world and I doubt I would have gotten a second chance.

Just a little follow on this. After working with v2.5 for a couple of days without issues, I upgraded again to v 2.6 to test it out. Been working a few contacts in various bands and specially ran a little FT4 on 20m to stress it out and so far I haven't experienced the loose of power again (knock on wood).

And spoke too soon. As of this morning, the issue has appeared again. Starting to loose power at any given moment.

So I´m back to v2.5 for the time being.

The loss of power just happened to me again on 160 meters FT8.

Prior to the loss of power it was working ok then I took a short break and the first time I called CQ there was  no power. After a few attempts the power returned.

Immediately after this issue happened all FT8 decoding on the 4 bands I am monitoring stopped. I had to end and restart DAX to start decoding again.

Running just 3 watts to an amp.

I never had this problem with no power before upgrading to v2.6.0 If this continues I will have to revert back to 2.5.1
