Following the update to test, I cranked up FT8 and worked Maritania, Kuwait and Bulgaria.  easy-peasy. DAX, and COM all working.  The best part was that Microsoft had a big update pending.  So without fear I proceeded with the update and re-boot.  No problem.  Thanks for removing the fear of installing OS updates.

Same with 2.6.0. Had 2.5.1 installed on to an 1809 version of windows and forced and update to 1903, then I installed 2.6.0. No DAX or CAT problems. Works as advertised. What a welcome relief to have that damnable problem resolved. Thank you Flex!

I have never been able to get WSJT-X working. since I purchased the rig over a year ago It's pretty ridiculous.  First I could receive with no transmit power, now, after the 2.6.0 update, I can transmit perfectly but I get DAX errors including installation issue or disabled sound device. I've uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times.  I am a very technical guy, but super frustrated about the unbelievable amount of time I've spent on this thing.  All Windows updates are current.   For the first time in a year I can finally transmit, but DAX will not connect to WSJT.   Any IDeas?
