Mirroring of radio and SmartSDR for Win

Can anyone tell me if the new software version 3.1.7 (SmartSDR for Windows along with the Flex 6400M 3.1.7 update) allows for mirroring the radio and SmartSDR? In other words, allow control of SmartSDR for Windows using the radio knobs? I read it was possible with Maestro but is it possible with the 6400M?

Take a look at the SmartControl video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64GvtLSF9Ik.  You can also read about it in the Maestro and M Model docs available on our website.

Now that's just plain cool. Thanks for the info Eric. Now I have an even bigger reason to jump to ver3. Finally going to change from win 7 to 10. Picked up a win 10 machine I have yet to set up so EVERYTHING will be a fresh install. New pc, new amp and now ver3.

Okay, I just enabled SmartControl on my 6400M and it does a fine job of controlling SSDR, but I don't believe (although I could be wrong) that's what Scott was asking.  In the 2.X versions, the SSDR and M series radio controls were synced together.  In 3.X there doesn't seem to be a way to have both the M panel and SSDR mirror each other, and SmartControl doesn't seem to be the solution, or am I missing something?

OK so how do I get it to allow the knobs and buttons to control the SSDR on the screen? Is there a setting I am missing?

This is covered extensively in your Maestro or 6400M/6600M User Guides which are available for download on the FlexRadio.com website.

It is Section 9 in the Maestro User Guide,
It is Section 11 in the 6400M / 6600M User Guide.

I figured it out. You have to switch radios. Now I see I don't have enough PC memory top run SmartSDR anyway lol.

I would agree with you Johan. If Stacks3 can make mirroring working, I do not see why Flex would not implement it. Also, I would add my voice to make this SCM window not visible when other screens are open, it is just disctruction. Sergey, KN7K
