ok! i have my global profile set on a couple things, my question is, on 20 meters PSK i have the screen set to the way i want including transmit and mic profiles, not sure how i got it set that way , im try to get 40 and 75 screen to mirror the 20 meter screen and cant seem to get it close, not sure what im missing on settings, i guess screenshots would help, but cant figure out how to post a shot, its a 6400 if that maters. thanks in advance

You can duplicate the set up in profiles by renaming the global by bring up current profile make the change then rename it and save. Example: PSK-20, new one might be PSK-40. You will not lose the original because the renaming creates a new profile. I run everything from profiles. In fact if some thing changes and you do not want it, just select the profile again and you will be back to square one. Make sure when you are finished to back up the profiles.2

Yes and if you are running 2.5 or 3.0 you will be doing this CONSTANTLY due to the new Auto-Save!
Still on 2.4.9 here and won't update until auto-save can be turned off.1 -
Well, I did create a global 20 PSK master, and then an active, so use the active and keep master in case I **** it up, as long as I remember to use active, ha!0

Hey thanks! Worked great. So I guess they best way is to make one for all bands, still confused on some of this profile stuff0

What I have found is that there is a battle between persistence memory and profiles. The trick figuring out what items that have priority in persistence memory. Example is power setting. If you change power, persistence will remember it. Don’t save it in the profile. Took me a while to figure that out. Could not find this in any documentation that can find. It would be nice to have a matrix list that would show what settings and commands are used in persistence and profiles and there relative priority in each method. I run most every thing from profiles, the nature of the beast demands it to make for most efficient operation.1

yep! im beginning to start that myself. trying to train myself instead of clicking band button for bands, click profile and go to that band0
