reconfigure the SmartLink network setup for the radio

Recently had my 6600 in for repair, now that it's back Smart Link is not working. Put in a help ticket and response was to " to reconfigure the SmartLink network setup for the radio. As part of the repair service, the radio's database is reset and that removes any radio specific SmartLink configuration."
- So my question is, How does one reconfigure the Network Setup ??
- Can't find anything in manual or Archives. Tried Un-registering and re-registering but didn't help. When I run the "Test" on the Smartlink setup page it fails- see pic

There are two (or more) steps to this. First, ensure the radio is connected to your network and has an IP address, either via DHCP (automatic assignment), or by setting a static IP address, gateway, DNS server, etc. Second, if your router does auto port forwarding (UPnP) and it is enabled, you should be good to go. If your router does not do UPnP, you will neeed to manually set up port forwards for 4993 / 4994. There are lots of guide articles here and in the manual. That may be a bit simplistic, but it covers the bases.0

added to what Ted talked about, If your Radio's IP has changed are there settings in your Router directing those ports to a different IP then what the Radio is now on?
If so you need to either modify those settings in your router to the Radio's new IP or move the Radio's IP to what you had it set for before you sent it in for repair by setting it to a static IP or modifying the Router settings in the Router DHCP / MAC address rules.
My self I run static addressing on the Radio.
hope this helps you out.

Yes, when 6600 came back from being repaired, the MAC address had changed and it was drawing a new ip address. I did have to go into to my Router and manually change the port forwarding set up. So now on the Smartlink setup page - Network settings, I get a successful test and am getting the green light. So thanks guys for the help.
