New To Flex 6400

New to Flex 6400.  Should be delivered next week.  Can anyone tell me if Digial Audio Cable still needed to work digital modes or does DAX take care of that?  There seems to be alot of excitement around the flex products.  Cant wait to get on the air!

DAX and SmartSDR CAT do it all. Nothing else is needed. Suggest you download the manuals from the Flex website. It is well worth studying them before you get the radio.

Probably a good idea! With other platforms I always had to struggle with DAC and Virtual serial cable.  That will be awesome.

Dave, good morning! New 6400 owner here also, all you need is to hook it to your home network. I too was worried about getting digital to work, but it was pretty much plug and go. If your using fldigi there is an excellent section on how to setup the program, I think it's on page 126. Good luck, and enjoy this great radio. No more knobs! Richard AB4RW
