Following up on my own post, I recently heard about Dan Tassell, KC5PCB, who makes custom cables for many Amateur applications. I contacted Dan, explained my issue, and he quickly built a cable that allowed band following between my Flex 6500 and Tokyo Hy Power amplifier. I'd highly recommend Dan - he is a great person to deal with and the workmanship on the cable is first rate.

Ken, Thank you taking the time to do a posting that addressed exactly what I was looking for. I followed your advice and contacted Dan Tassell, KC5PCB to see if he would construct the same interface for me. He remembered building the one for you and agreed to make one for me. What a great guy and a first class interface cable. He also provided documentation on how to ready the Flex 6500 and the Tokyo Hy-Power HL-1.5KFX amp. I could not be more pleased with the quality of his work and the communications I had with him. You and Dan have greatly enhanced my station. Thank you and I recommend Dan without hesitation.
